I have been tight,
\nOn getting the ending right.<\/p>\n
Always; it starts with a bang,
\nOr a boom, or a blast,
\nBut it does not last.
\nComes down crashing,
\nLike the popped-corn,
\nThat takes off like a missile,
\nAn ambitious space ship may be, that won’t rest
\nSiphoning through space
\nOn an indefatigable mission, to orbit moon,
\nBut falls right back,
\nTo truffled butter flavor,
\nOr sometimes just a plain salty doom.<\/p>\n
Every time, it’s like a dawn.
\nThe brilliant spark of a bright idea,
\nApparently, whose time has but\u00a0come
\nEnthusiasm spilling through the sleeves
\nOf my creative genius,
\nThat remains to be proven
\nNot unlike
\nOverzealous expectant’s sweater,
\nThat never gets past
\nThirtieth row and the forty-sixth loop<\/p>\n
Bolder the beginning,
\nHarder the pull, Over and over
\nRegaling
\nOver and Over
\nOh, my! Wonderful lines
\nStarted like a starry night on canvas
\nAnd then\u00a0left to dry in the rain<\/p>\n
Stream of effervescent thoughts
\nGushing through my prefrontal
\nDisappear
\nPerhaps through my vestigial
\nInto the void of Universe
\nWhere Singularities confluence
\nTime and Space
\nAnd the simple laws debase
\nSome such
\nAbstract debauchery thus takes over
\nGenerating non-recyclable waste
\nOf words that could have been saved<\/p>\n
Starts like The\u00a0Prufrock Song,
\nAnd feels like the Essay on Man
\nBut always ends in a faltering plot
\nA miserable attempt at rescue
\nAnd an insidious everlasting pain<\/p>\n
